Design & Development
Most plush problems start with an incomplete specification. We help you turn an idea, a character or an existing product into a spec that leaves nothing to interpretation: shape, size, fabrics, colours, embroidery, fill and labelling.
What’s included
- Review of your sketches, artwork, character references or existing samples
- Advice on size, proportions and how a 2D design translates into a soft, 3D shape
- Fabric, pile, colour and fill recommendations, with swatches where useful
- Face and detail decisions: embroidery, appliqué, printing or safety eyes
- Age grading guidance, since it drives both construction and testing
- A written specification, confirmed with the factory in Chinese, line by line

Service 2 of 5
Sampling
Sampling is where a design becomes a real, squeezable product. We keep rounds short and feedback specific, so you get to an approved sample quickly and the production run matches it.
What’s included
- First prototype typically in 5–10 days
- Photo and video review, with the physical sample shipped to you
- Revision rounds until the sample is approved
- Pre-production (PP) sample from bulk materials before the run starts
- Approved “golden sample” kept as the reference for production and inspection

Service 3 of 5
Production
We work with three partner factories in Pingdu, Qingdao, each built for a different kind of work: high-volume retail and infant lines, detailed character plush, and large-format cushions and home textiles. Your program goes to the one that is actually suited to it.
What’s included
- Factory matching based on product type, detail level and volume
- Production scheduling, typically about 50 days after sample approval
- Order consolidation, so smaller brands can reach workable factory volumes
- Mid-production updates with photos from the floor
- Needle control and foreign-object protocols built to Japanese and Korean retail standards

- Regular progress updates from the production floor
Service 4 of 5
Compliance & Testing
Toys sold in the US must be tested by an accepted third-party lab and certified before they can be sold. We manage that process for you and make sure the product is designed to pass from the start, not fixed after it fails.
What’s included
- ASTM F963 and CPSIA testing through a CPSC-accepted third-party laboratory
- Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) preparation
- Permanent tracking labels on product and packaging
- Country-of-origin marking and required warning labels
- Guidance on state stuffed-toy labelling requirements where they apply

- A CPC and compliant labels for your product
Service 5 of 5
Inspection & Logistics
Before goods leave China, an independent inspector checks them against your approved sample. Then we move them to you and, as importer of record, take care of US customs.
What’s included
- Third-party pre-shipment inspection through QIMA, SGS or Bureau Veritas
- Shipments held and corrected if an inspection fails
- Sea and air freight from Qingdao
- US customs clearance, with Meridian acting as importer of record
- Delivery to your warehouse, 3PL or retailer distribution centre
